Doorways – or one can say ‘portals’

“Doorways” is a mixed media work, which begs the question, to where, to what? To a place, to the past, to the future, or to the soul? What is behind these portals? What, if anything, connects them?

These questions are represented in a deliberately degraded, overworked, largely photographic montage of portals and doorways. Just as recollections are degraded over time, so is this work, leading to an atmosphere with an element of mystery.

The large size of this work on satin, baryta paper will provide outstanding picture stability, and excellent archival qualities, for which the pH of the coating was especially tested.
